2011 Show was very successful despite heavy afternoon rain showers. The new Food Hall was a great success, this together with a large increase in craft exhibits proved to be very popular.

A Schools Competition was also seen a success, encouraging schoolchildren & parents to attend and visit childrens activity tent.

The Main Ring in the afternoon combining Traditional Music by the very popular Post Office Pipe Band, the Heart of Scotland Broadcasting Choir and lighthearted entertainment in the format of a It's a Knockout Competition all of this compered by Scott Glynn provided a very enjoyable afternoon.

The Showing classes as always very popular, sheep classes with a large increase in quantity and quality.

The Overall Section Winners who compete for the Salvesen Trophy for Best In Show were as follows

with the Clydesdale Horse of Mr. Tennant being the winner of the trophy.

Cattle - Ross Farms Ltd, Wester Middleton, Gorebridge

Sheep - A J Kennedy & Son, Mitchellhill Farm, Biggar

Clydesdale Horse - T Tennant, Gilmanscleugh Farm, Ettrick, Selkirk

Light Horse Champion - Mrs K Mundell, Meigle Farm, Clovenfords, Galashiels
